With the holiday shopping season around the corner, MailPix, the photo-printing, canvas and gifting site, continues to garner industry recognition for its innovative photo printing app, 1 Hour Photo.

MailPix founder Fred H. Lerner was interviewed on the website App of the Day, where he shared the success story of the 1 Hour Photo app, which specializes in sending photos to more than 18,000 stores including CVS photo, Walmart, and Walgreens.

“We have the only app that is integrated into all the major retailers in the country,” said Lerner. “It is intuitive, easy to use, and no credit card is required as the customer only pays when they pick up their photos.”

This interview continues the recognition for the 1Hour Photo app. Recently the print-to-retail mobile photo app was recognized as an industry leader by The Web App Market. The app was featured for both its iPhone and Android apps. The Web App Market described 1-Hour Photo as “a simple photo printing program that allows you to turn your memories into quality prints in less than an hour.”

MailPix was also recognized by the Tech Tribune as one of the top tech startups in Huntington Beach, Calif. This is the fifth straight year the company has made the list. The company is commemorating its 10th anniversary this year.
